Mosaic Stepping Stones

  • Burke Arts Council 506 S. Sterling (map)

In this class we will be creating a mosaic stepping stone using a 12" cement paver as our base. We will go over some of the basics on designing, prepping, and materials that can be used for a mosaic. This stone will be able to be outside in your garden, so we will be using an all-weather silicone glue that will need to cure for a week. We will go over the grouting process and materials used. You will be grouting your stone at home.

Lots of different materials can be used for mosaics-pebbles, and flat stones, beads, tiles, shells, glass blobs etc. If you have things at home or a simple design you would like to use, feel free to bring these. Glass cutting skills are an advantage, though not necessary, but it may affect your design possibilities.

Join us for a few hours of creativity and fun!
