Basket Weaving Workshop with Bridget VanRemortel 

Please join us for this basket-making workshop designed for beginners, or intermediates who wish to brush up on their skills. Participants will learn how to weave a traditional 7x7 inch napkin basket. All tools and supplies will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own aprons. This is an all day workshop, so please prepare a bagged lunch, or try a tasty option from Downtown Morganton. Limited space is available. Please register early!

Bridget VanRemortel has been weaving baskets for over 10 years. She first learned to weave in middle school. She has taught in North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Bridget belongs to guilds in West Virginia,Tennessee and North Carolina. She is currently the Vice President of the North Carolina Basketmakers Association.
