Whooo Wants to Get Crafty? Hanging Clay Owls with Cindy Douglass

Two days. Two little hands. One adorable hanging pottery owl to take home!

A fun-filled, hands-on clay workshop to sculpt, shape, and paint a whimsical, textured, hanging owl — perfect for a bedroom wall, a garden nook, or grandma's kitchen wall. No experience needed, just curiosity and a love of getting a little messy!

The children will design, shape, and detail their owl on day 1, and add vibrant colors on day 2. Then return to pick up the completed kiln fired piece. This is an enriching experience that ends with a piece of art they will be proud to display, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for kids to slow down, use their hands, and experience the satisfaction of creating something real and lasting.

All materials provided. Limited space is available. Please register early!

Cindy Douglass doesn’t just mold clay; she builds worlds. Raised where Florida’s rocket launches met Disney’s fairy tales, Cindy’s work lives in the "Oneiric"—a dream-state where the surreal feels like home. Her ceramic sculptures are a blend of resilient spirits and playful, skewed realities, often laced with whimsical "electrical pathways" that mimic the energy connecting us all.  Whether she’s sculpting sacred moments in clay or painting "Space Postcards" from the cosmos, Cindy’s art is an open invitation to ditch the ordinary. Now creating from the mountains of North Carolina, her perspective remains—quite literally—out of this world. Her name is currently drifting through the galaxy on a NASA microchip.
