“Art in the Garden”

The Burke Arts Council and the Mimosa Garden Club are pleased to announce our first “Art in the Garden” Tour. The event is Saturday June 14, from 10AM until 3PM.  Rain or Shine.

The tour will feature local artists in each garden painting vignettes of the gardens. There will be five homes and two churches on this self-guided tour.  All of the homes and churches are on West Union or a block or two off. This event will benefit the Burke Arts Council and the Mimosa Garden Club. The mission of the Burke Arts Council is to enrich the quality of life in Burke County through  cultural and artistic activities.  

The objective of the Mimosa Garden Club  is to educate and encourage interest in all phases of gardening, to promote better horticultural practices, to protect and foster the bird population in the Morganton area, to promote interest in civic beautification and conservation and restoration of natural resources. The Club is affiliated with the Garden Club of North Carolina.

Tickets for the tour are now available at the Burke Arts Council or online at the BAC website.

Tickets are $25 for BAC Members/$30 for Non-Members
VIP Tickets:  $45 for BAC Members/$50 for Non-Members.

The VIP ticket includes admission to the tour and a “Garden Party” Cocktail Party to be held on Friday, June 13, at 5:30 at the Burke Arts Council.
